No sulfites or preservatives added! Kosher. This wine is more like a grape wine than HoneyRun's other varieties, and is on the sweet side. It has been refered to as "instant port" by numerous tasters. Our winemaker enjoys Elderberry Honeywine with chicken, tangy salads, and by itself. Elderberry Honeywine should retain its fruity flavor for up to a year, or longer if kept cool i.e. cellar temperature. I have tried bottles now that were kept under the stairs for two years, and they were fabulous! We still have not discovered how long before Elderberry goes over the hill.
